Program Funding Announced for Aviation Manufacturing

DOT allocates $69 million to 127 aviation businesses to protect jobs.

The U.S. Department of Transportation announced the implementation of another program through the American Rescue Plan act of 2021. The Aviation Manufacturing Jobs Protection Program (AMJP) will help preserve the workforce of the aviation manufacturing sector by offering $69 million in awards for hundreds of businesses across 43 states and Puerto Rico.

“The aviation industry was hit hard by the pandemic, and we have taken action to support and protect the jobs of aviation manufacturing workers,” said Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg. “The critical American Rescue Plan funding announced today is protecting tens of thousands of manufacturing jobs, supporting hundreds of small businesses, and helping keep America’s aviation industry strong as it continues its robust recovery.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For the Transportation secretary as he implements the president’s agenda on employment.
  • For economic officials in the president’s administration as they look to support the workforce.
  • For the president and his advisors as they attempt to protect aviation jobs.
